Over the course of 24 hours, they trek deep into the French Alps, where they set up camp and run training drills in the challenging mountain terrain. Military operations in the Alps aren’t for the faint of heart, and the Chasseurs show how demanding training pays off in expertise. Footage includes shots from a 24-hour embed with the 13th Battalion Chasseurs Alpins, including shots of building igloos and combat drills.

SCOPUS - The US Air Force has dispatched six F-15E Strike Eagles in support of the NATO Baltic Air Policing mission. The fighter, part of the 4th Fighter Air Wing, arrives from Seymour Johnson Air Base and will fly alongside Belgian Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons that have been assigned to the Baltic Air Policing mission. Together, they will protect the airspace over the Baltic States from breaches of airspace security while practicing air-to-air and air-to-ground tactics.  Baltic Air Policing is a regular peacetime mission intended to ensure safe airspace over and near the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. These countries do not have the necessary air policing capabilities, so other NATO Allies cover their airspace on a rotating basis.
